The evolution of our grow tables

FIRST GENERATION GROW TABLES:     

     Our first generation grow table produced came from a customer who needed tables quick and was unable to wait six months.  After much discussion about his needs, Allan was eager and happy to help.  A few things came to mind while hearing out the challenges laid in front of him.  The first challenge was to create a modified version of the industry standards set for grow tables.  This modification included creating a 10 FT. x 53 IN. table with a few added modifications based on customer vision.

     His second challenge he was determined to overcome was the time constrictions and figuring out a way to create these grow tables in such a way, that it would maximize space in such a way, that he could pack in all 32 grow tables in 45FT x 40FT warehouse.   The way current grow tables were placed, you needed an aisle in between each table in order to adjust grow lights using the standard rope leverage technique.

     His third challenge was being able to design these tables in a way that shipping wouldn't be cumbersome, bulky and expensive.  His third challenge really presented an issue that would be a serious problem unless solved, and the solution didn't come to mind until the development of his third generation grow tables. 

SECOND GENERATION GROW TABLES:

     Fortunately for Allan, he is a Master Machinist, and if you can draw your idea, he can create it and even improve on the idea.  It was the beginning of January, 2022 when Allan had an epiphany. Why not create grow tables in which you can both attach tables end to end, all the while incorporating grow lights onto the actual table fixtures themselves?  That way, when the tables move, the light fixtures move with the tables!

     On the second generation of tables, the client asked if Allan could figure out a way to make the grow lights adjustable up and down and still be attached to the grow table.  After a few weeks of R&D, Allan successfully created his second generation of grow tables that unbeknownst to Allan had more benefits than just making it extremely easy to adjust the grow lights up and down.

     Being a perfectionist isn't an easy trait to contend with when making innovative products.  At this point, Allan wanted to improve and perfect his second generation grow tables, as he did note certain things he simply wasn't happy with and the complexity of installing the second generation grow tables.  At this point, Allan welcomed in two trusted friends and business partners to his team; whom he had the utmost respect and regards for: Barry Birr and Dave Spalding. 

     There were many things Allan wanted to improve on with his second generation grow tables.  Incorporating the ideas he had with the ideas of his team, it was decided that serious revamping was necessary to make this the best, leading edge grow table the world has ever seen!  A few things list below were needed to be improved on.

• Make the grow table foundation much sturdier without incurring major cost barriers to do so.  The goal of keeping the tables affordable for his customers!
• Eliminating the poles on both ends of both sides of the tables, in the middle, to just one main set of poles centered in the middle of the table; yet maintaining strength and integrity of said light fixtures while also saving the customer more money by reducing materials needed.
• Eliminating the T-Brackets used in the second generation tables; bulky and complicated to install for customers, requiring mandatory installation of Main-Table employees only.  All the while, avoiding binding of the light fixture housing unit as the lightsgo up or down.
• Avoiding a cookie-cutter approach with a mandatory table dimension size of 4FT x 8 FT. The goal is to allow table slots, by creating table compartments of 4FT x 4FT sections; attachable to allow customers to have versatility in table dimensions based on needs as an example.
• Creating half table compartments to be linked end to end and the ability to build the tables with user-friendly install in mind, verse pre-assembled, to save on shipping costs and for the sake of table portability when moving the tables from shipping trucks to warehouse; all in smaller boxed packages.
• Eliminating the use of paint and all the while figuring out a way to avoid the notorious rust issue metal faces when dealing with moist and humid climates.

     After a few weeks of more research and development, a new and improved table was established.  As such, third generation grow tables were established in March of 2022.  A means to allow complete customization based on customer demands, all the while keeping purchase and shipping costs down and extending savings to their clients, a simple and easy means of table installation with a YouTube video (In development) on a how-to-install tutorial, with portability and longevity at mind!
